The Great Nomming

I love to cook. It is so relaxing to create tasty things. I like feeding other people good food almost as much as I like eating it! When people tell me that they don’t like certain foods, I embrace the flavor challenge to create delicious dishes that they will love. My husband asked for homemade "Potstickers", and they came out wonderfully! This recipe made about 70 tasty treats. We may never know just how many it made, as they were eaten as soon as they came off the fry pan.

What I used:
Two white onions
Water chestnuts- one can drained
Beansprouts- one can drained
Fresh Garlic- to taste
Fresh Ginger- to taste
Salt and pepper- to taste
Soy sauce- 3 tablespoons
Sesame oil- 2 tablespoons
1 head of cabbage- sliced
2 pounds of pork
2 cans of mini shrimp
1-2 packages of pre-made won ton wrappers

All the vegetables, spices and sauces go into the food processor and are chopped smooth. For the best results cover the veggie mix and leave in the fridge overnight, or for at least 2 hours. Cook the pork on the stove until lightly browned, add the shrimp and vegetable spice mix.

Place a tablespoon of the mixture into each of the won-ton wrappers. Fold the wrappers into triangles, sealing the edges with a little bit of water while squeezing the air out.I did not fold the edges in towards the center as one would normally do, I like triangles! You can now Boil, Steam or Pan fry!
Create and enjoy!

There were no leftovers!

REMEMBER- you can freeze the mixture and make wontons in smaller batches. Family members will always be happy to find the air filled with the smell of frying Won tons.
